Job summary

Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina, is seeking a registered nurse to deliver professional care in line with physician orders and established policies. You will supervise care, delegate tasks, and document nursing activities for a diverse patient population.

Qualifications

• Work requires graduation from an accredited BSN program.
• Twelve months of appropriate clinical experience is required.
• Must have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina. BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan and provide professional nursing care per physician orders and policies.
• Provide nursing services to patients and families based on the RN scope defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
• Plan, provide, supervise and document nursing care; delegate tasks and supervise other staff.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and maintain competencies.
