Job summary

Duke University Health System Hematology/Oncology Clinic in Raleigh, NC seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team. Oncology experience preferred; full-time day shifts available at 5-8 hours per shift.

Qualifications

• Twelve months of clinical experience required.
• Oncology, ICU, MSCC, or ED preferred.
• BSN or higher required; otherwise enroll in BSN within two years of start date.
• North Carolina nursing license required within 90 days of start date if on a compact license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care per physician orders and policies.
• Use professional nursing judgment to individualize the plan of care.
• Delegate tasks and supervise activities of licensed and unlicensed staff.
• Act as team leader or charge nurse for a group of patients or unit as assigned.
• Monitor and initiate corrective action to maintain the care environment and resources.
• Support professional development by maintaining competencies and seeking training.
• Precept and mentor other staff and learners.
• Contribute to performance improvement initiatives.
