Job summary

Parkland Health seeks an experienced Registered Nurse on the Oncology unit in Dallas. The RN coordinates patient care, assesses needs, and develops individualized plans in collaboration with the care team. Strong clinical judgment and effective communication are essential.

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must have two years of nursing experience.
• Must hold a current RN license or compact license in Texas; BLS provider certification required.
• Oncology-specific certification within six months of placement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care per nursing practice model and plan of care.
• Assess and monitor patient status; identify nursing diagnoses and interventions.
• Provide patient education and coordinate with health care team for transitions of care.
• Maintain documentation compliant with state and hospital standards.
• Serve as a preceptor/charge nurse as needed and participate in ongoing oncology education.
