Job summary

Parkland Health seeks an experienced Registered Nurse in Oncology to coordinate patient care using the nursing process. The RN will assess patients, develop individualized plans, and ensure safe chemotherapy administration with appropriate documentation.

Requirements include a TX RN license (or Compact), BLS, and an Oncology Chemotherapy certificate within six months of placement; a 10K sign-on bonus is available for this full-time role.

Qualifications

• Must have two years of nursing experience.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program is required.
• Current RN license in Texas or Compact license; BLS certification.
• Oncology Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy certification within six months of placement.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-focused nursing care within Oncology Services.
• Coordinate care plans and transitions with the health care team.
• Administer medications safely, monitor for side effects, and document care.
• Mentor and precept junior staff; act as Charge Nurse on rotation as needed.
