Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Medical Observation Unit for short-term oncology patient care. You will perform assessments, monitor patients, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

The role requires a Florida RN license (or multi-state with FL as primary), BSN preferred; a 3x12 shift schedule and occasional weekends, with a sign-on bonus and clinical ladder advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required or an Associate’s degree with 1 year of relevant experience accepted in lieu of BSN.
• Current RN license in the State of Florida or multi-state licensure with Florida as primary residence within 60 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments and ongoing monitoring of oncology patients in short-term observation.
• Recognize changes in condition and escalate promptly as needed.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, meds, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, and care team.
• Document care accurately in the medical record and maintain safety standards.
