Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 5South unit, a 22-bed medical/telemetry oncology unit providing care for cancer patients in a dynamic interdisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of inpatient hospital experience and a background in Medical/Surgical nursing, with experience in Head and Neck Cancers, GU, and post‑op patients. Florida licensure is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of inpatient hospital experience.
• Medical Surgery experience as a registered nurse.
• Experience with Head and Neck Cancers, GU, and post op surgery patients.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate the care of cancer patients and families.
• Identifies, documents, and provides patient education based on the learning needs of the patient.
• Participates in Evidence based improvement activities related to area of practice.
• Participates in professional development based on the nursing standards and requirements.
