Job summary

The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle is seeking a Registered Nurse for a part-time, 0.75 FTE role providing patient-centered care across the care team. You will perform nursing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to support our oncology patients.

Responsibilities include developing care plans, educating patients and families, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team, and applying research and evidence to clinical practice.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• WA State RN license or multi-state license with WA as primary state within 60 days of hire.
• Current BLS certification required; renewal every two years.
• Oncology experience preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assesses physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of patients.
• Develops a care plan based on disease, symptoms and response to treatment.
• Educates patients, families and caregivers on disease processes and treatments.
• Coordinates with interdisciplinary care team for continuity of care.
• Implements, evaluates and modifies the plan of care.
• Integrates research and evidence-based knowledge into practice.
