Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a registered nurse for a hospital-based oncology/hematology clinic. You will provide direct patient care, administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, IV fluids, and address urgent issues in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

You will engage in governance, quality initiatives, documentation in EHR, and ongoing professional development; requirement: BSN preferred, RN license active, BLS, and typically 2 years of clinical nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice where care is provided (multi-state compact or single-state).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Typically requires 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage in governance and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Utilize nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans with care team.
• Maintain a culture of safety and accurate EHR documentation.
• Provide patient and family education and support throughout care.
• May float to other units to meet patient care needs.
• Comply with age-specific care requirements and department policies.
