Job summary

Moderna's Program Management team is hiring a Director to drive oncology mRNA program execution from lead nomination to licensure. You will partner with the program leader, coordinate cross-functional teams, and manage timelines and budgets.

The role emphasizes leadership across preclinical to Phase 3, with a 70/30 in-office model and opportunities for discretionary bonus or equity. Strong communication and strategic planning are essential.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a scientific field with a minimum of 10 years of experience or MS degree in a scientific field with at least 8 years of experience in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical setting.
• Proven track record of successful project management experience in drug development (preferably in Oncology) across multiple phases (pre-clinical and clinical Phase 1-3).
• Prior experience managing or working within cross-functional project teams with timeline management and budgetary responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Partnering with the program leader to shape program strategy and execution plan.
• Collaborating with functional leads to define program strategy and proactively identify and escalate issues.
• Building relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of functional and corporate objectives.
• Coordinating team efforts to develop impactful presentations for governance and leadership meetings.
• Developing and tracking activities against program timelines and budget.
• Facilitating cross-functional meetings, driving decision-making, and documenting action items.
• Working with Finance to implement and track the program budget.
• Contributing to Program Management initiatives to scale capabilities, tools, and processes.
