Job summary

Moderna is seeking a Director of Program Management to lead oncology programs from lead nomination through licensure and lifecycle management. You will drive program strategy, collaborate with functional leads, and manage budgets across preclinical and clinical phases.

You will build stakeholder relationships, develop governance-ready materials, and guide cross-functional teams to successful decision-making in a fast-paced, in-office culture.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a scientific field with a minimum of 10 years of experience or MS degree with at least 8 years in biotech/pharma.
• Proven track record of project management in drug development ( Oncology ), across multiple phases (pre-clinical and clinical Phase 1-3).
• Experience managing cross-functional project teams with timeline management and budget responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of project management tools and software (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project).
• Adaptive to a fluid environment with strong collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Shape program strategy and execution plan with the program leader.
• Collaborate with functional leads to define strategy and identify gaps; manage teams through scenario planning.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to align functional and corporate objectives and promote program goals.
• Coordinate efforts to prepare presentations that summarize complex topics for governance and leadership meetings.
• Develop and track activities against timelines and budget.
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings, drive decisions, prepare minutes, and resolve actions.
• Work with Finance to implement and track the program budget.
• Contribute to PM initiatives to scale capabilities, tools, and processes.
