Job summary

Moderna seeks a Director, Program Management to drive oncology program teams from lead nomination to licensure and lifecycle management. You will partner with program leaders, coordinate cross-functional teams, and manage timelines and budgets across clinical-stage programs.

You will build stakeholder relationships, communicate risks and decisions to governance bodies, and help scale PM capabilities and processes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a scientific field with 10+ years of experience or MS degree with 8+ years of experience in biotech/pharma.
• Proven track record of successful project management in drug development across multiple phases (pre-clinical to Phases 1-3).
• Experience leading cross-functional project teams with timeline and budget responsibility.
• Knowledge of project management tools (Smartsheet, MS Project, timeline visualization).

Responsibilities

• Shape program strategy and develop execution plans with the program leader.
• Collaborate with functional leads to define strategy and identify gaps; guide teams through scenario planning.
• Maintain relationships with stakeholders to align program and corporate objectives and promote goals.
• Coordinate team efforts to create governance-ready presentations and communicate status, risks, and decisions.
• Develop and track activities against timelines and budgets.
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings, record actions, and drive decision-making.
• Collaborate with Finance to implement and track the program budget.
• Contribute to PM initiatives to scale capabilities, tools, and processes.
