Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for the Marlborough Oncology Pharmacy. This role supports medication distribution, compounding, and patient care under supervision, with a 40-hour workweek and potential for weekend coverage.

Responsibilities include ordering, packaging IV drugs, inventory management, and adherence to regulatory standards. A Massachusetts license and national certification are required; experience in oncology settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current license with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy.
• Certification by a national body such as PTCB or ExCPT is required.

Responsibilities

• Process and release orders using the pharmacy dispense queue.
• Set up oncology orders with drugs, diluent, base solution, tubing, and other components for compounding.
• Deliver patient medications to rooms and medication rooms.
• Maintain inventory, restock, and monitor expiration dates in pharmacy and floor stock via Pyxis.
• Troubleshoot pharmacy technology and equipment.
