Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support medication distribution, packaging, and preparation under supervision. The role requires accurate record keeping and oncology order setup, including handling chemotherapy and controlled substances.

The position is non-exempt with a 40-hour schedule, shift 4 - Mixed Shift, 8 hours (2:30pm-11pm). Requires MA pharmacy license and national certification; 3 years of experience and strong math/computer skills are expected.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Proficient in math and computer use.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Process and release orders using pharmacy dispense queue.
• Oncology order setup including drugs, diluent, base solution, tubing, filters, and labels.
• Maintain inventory, restock, and monitor expiration dates in pharmacy and Pyxis supplies.
• Familiar with pharmacy technology and equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment and pharmacy systems.
• Prepare and package all forms of medications.
• Assemble drugs accurately and efficiently.
