Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Marlborough is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for our Oncology Pharmacy. The position supports packaging, preparation of medications, record keeping and distribution under supervision. You will handle IV drug preparation with aseptic technique, maintain inventory, generate reports and ensure regulatory compliance.

Weekend and holiday coverage is required as noted. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, MA Board license, PTCB/ExCPT certification and at least 3

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Current Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy license.
PTCB or ExCPT certification.

Responsibilities

Process and release orders using the pharmacy dispense queue.
Oncology order setup with drugs, diluent, base solution, tubing, filters and labels for compounding.
Deliver patient medications to patient rooms and medication room areas.
Maintain inventory, restock, and monitor expiration dates of medications and floor stock.
Familiar with pharmacy technology and equipment; troubleshoot technical problems.
Prepare intravenous (IV) drugs using aseptic technique in compounding cytotoxic chemotherapy.
