Job summary

American Oncology Network, Inc. Lone Star Oncology in Kyle, TX is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to support medication preparation, dispensing, and inventory management in a clinical setting.

Under supervision, you will prepare chemotherapy drugs, maintain Nucleus system proficiency, coordinate with Physicians, Nurses, and sales reps, and help ensure regulatory compliance and patient safety across locations.

Qualifications

Following applicable state regulations, PTCB Certification or Registered as Pharmacy Technician is required.
Minimum of three years' experience in healthcare, preferably clinical setting as Pharmacy Technician.
Willingness to travel occasionally to educational and research meetings and training sessions.
Valid State Driver's License for travel to clinics is required.

Responsibilities

Maintain ordering and stocking of medications and supplies for the clinic.
Prepare and mix chemotherapy drugs under supervision and in compliance with state regulations.
Coordinate with drug reps and pharmaceutical companies to obtain samples and teaching aids.
Liaise between Physicians, Nursing, Pharmacy Supervisor and Purchasing for special orders.
Maintain records for compassionate drug programs, clinical trials, and related processes.
