Mountain View Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our Oncology team. The role focuses on sterile compounding for chemotherapy, supporting pharmacists with oral chemotherapy management, and coordinating patient services to ensure optimal care.

Responsibilities include verifying benefits, coordinating patient assistance programs, and ensuring medical necessity aligns with insurance requirements. Supervision by a physician and/or pharmacist provides guidance and quality control.

Qualifikationen

• Active Idaho Pharmacy Technician license required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• CPhT certification preferred.
• Two years of related experience recommended; training equivalent to one year beyond high school.

Aufgaben

• Sterile compounding for chemotherapy.
• Assist pharmacists in oral chemotherapy management.
• Oversee staff in oral chemotherapy and prescription refills.
• Develop processes to improve patient care and communication with outside pharmacies.
• Verify benefits and coordinate patient assistance programs as needed.
• Check proposed treatment for medical necessity per insurance.
• Input data and provide customer service for Oncology Department.
