Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center seeks a registered pharmacy technician to join a team supporting pharmacy operations, sterile compounding training, and medication management within clinical trials. Must have completed an accredited technician program and be licensed as an RPhT, with training at Speros campus.

You will perform tasks under a licensed pharmacist, handle unit-dose prescriptions, inventory, REMS and investigational meds, and use pharmacy automation software and EHR systems.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited Pharmacy Technician program or licensure per Florida Statutes.
• 2 years as an RPhT with unit-dose, inventory systems, and REMS/compounding experience.
• Hazardous drug exposure control and sterile compounding competency.
• RPhT licensure and CSPT/CPhT certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and process prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Assist sterile compounding, preparation, and distribution per USP and hospital policy.
• Manage inventory, unit-dose processes, and pharmacy automation software.
• Review medication orders, ensure accuracy, and maintain required documentation.
• Support REMS and investigational medication handling within clinical trials.
