Job summary
Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in preparing and processing prescriptions, including investigational and REMS medications, under direct supervision. You will assist with dispensing, medication prep, and coordination with providers, patients, and hospital teams.
The role requires experience with pharmacy automation systems, EHRs, inventory management, and strong communication in English.
Qualifications
- Must be a registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) with accredited training.
- Experience with unit dose, pharmacy orders, and inventory systems preferred.
- Familiarity with REMS/INV medication management and GMP guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Initiate or receive communications with patient, provider, and team to facilitate care (refill authorizations, appointments, records).
- Assist in processing prescriptions, including investigational medications under supervision.
- Prepare sterile and non-sterile medications, including high-risk and specialty drugs.
- Support inventory stewardship and maintain required records and reports.
