Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to support our pharmacy services at our Tampa Bay area campus. This role operates under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to assist with prescription processing, medication distribution, and clinical trial-related duties.

The ideal candidate will hold a Florida-eligible pharmacy technician credential (RPhT/RPT), have completed an accredited technician program, and be able to handle hazardous medications with proficient

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Graduate from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program or eligible for licensure per Florida Statutes 465.014.
Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT/RPT) required.
Handling hazardous medications training; able to follow oral/written instructions; strong English communication.

Responsibilities

Perform pharmacy tasks under pharmacist supervision, including communication with patient-provider teams to facilitate care.
Process prescriptions, including investigational medications in clinical trials, per CFR and GCP guidelines.
Assist in compounding, preparation, and distribution following USP standards and hospital policy.
