Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join the team and support both non-sterile and sterile compounding, processing medication orders, and inventory management. The role requires travel to various Moffitt Ambulatory Center locations to ensure quality patient care and staffing needs are met.

Ideal candidates hold a Pharmacy Technician license, a relevant associates or diploma, and have experience with unit dose, pharmacy systems, and REMS/investigational

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program or have licensure as outlined in Florida Statutes.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician license required.
• 2 years as aRegistered Pharmacy Technician with experience in unit dose, pharmacy orders and inventory systems, and/or investigational or REMS medications.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe medication orders into the computerized medical record system.
• Fully process prescriptions and new orders for pharmacist review.
• Compound non-sterile and sterile medications per USP guidelines and GCP for investigational meds.
• Deliver medications ensuring proper storage and handling.
• Perform quality assurance checks on medications and equipment.
• Manage inventory and monitor stock levels across MAC locations.

Associate’s degree in pharmacy management

Graduated from an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program
