This full-time role works 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no weekends or holidays. The position involves compounding chemotherapy and IV meds in a cleanroom, managing hazardous drugs and a large inventory, while upholding safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED (associates preferred in some cases),

Qualifications

• Registration/Licensure with state board of pharmacy per state of employment requirements
• Certification through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) or National Health Career Association (ExCPT)

Responsibilities

• Completes area-specific work per standard processes and policies.
• Serves as an expert with equipment and technology in the specialized area.
• Problem solves technical issues in the specialized area as they arise.
• Ensures documents and records are accurate and completed in a timely fashion.
• Supports communication with patients and care team.
• Identifies quality improvement opportunities to ensure safe, effective, and efficient services.
• Supports operational changes and standardization across site and system.
• Participates in site or system specialized work teams and councils.
• Complies with legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
• Maintains updated knowledge and skills and contributes to education of others.
