Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for the 340B Program in Milwaukee. The role supports chemotherapy and non-oncology IV medications in a cleanroom, maintaining a large hazardous medication inventory and ensuring accurate records.

Hours are 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with no weekends or holidays. Eligible for comprehensive Advocate Health benefits; requires state license and CPhT/ExCPT certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pharmacy tech responsibilities may require Associate’s Degree in Pharmacy Technology (NC).
• 3 years of healthcare, insurance, pharmacy, or medical background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes area-specific work per standard processes and policies.
• Serves as expert with equipment and technology in the area.
• Troubleshoots technical issues in the specialized area as they arise.
• Maintains accurate documents and records.
• Supports communication with patients and care team.
• Identifies quality improvement opportunities for safe and efficient services.
• Contributes to implementation of operational changes and standardization.
• Participates in site or system teams and committees.
• Complies with legal and accreditation standards.
• Keeps current with field changes and shares knowledge with others.
• Maintains knowledge and assists in education of colleagues.
• Contributes to pharmacy department initiatives.
• Accepts assignments when workload dictates.
