Job summary

Banner Health is seeking an Oncology Senior Acute Pharmacy Technician in Sun City, AZ. The role supports pharmacists with IV admixtures, TPNs, sterile and non-sterile compounding, inventory management, and record keeping in a high-standard setting.

Qualifications include active Pharmacy Technician licensure/certification or Pharmacy Intern licensure in Arizona, and at least two years of pharmacy technician experience. Monday–Friday day shifts with incentive opportunities."

Qualifications

Requires Pharmacy Technician licensure and active Pharmacy Technician certification OR Pharmacy Intern licensure in the state of practice.
Minimum of two years pharmacy technician experience.
Ability to perform moderate to difficult mathematical calculations.
Strong customer service focus and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Identifies medications and items for reorder to maintain inventory.
Manages users within automated dispensing technology database.
Interacts with patients, visitors and staff with strong customer service.
Restocks medications to areas outside dispensing tech as allowed.
Compounds non-sterile medications and adheres to USP guidelines.
Maintains safe, clean work environment and documents temperatures and maintenance.
Performs sterile compounding including IV admixtures and chemotherapy with proper technique.
Handles narcotic medications following policy and regulatory requirements.
