Banner Health in Phoenix, Arizona, seeks an Acute Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in packaging, distribution, non-sterile compounding, and record-keeping for pharmaceutical supplies. The role serves as a liaison between customers and pharmacists and may train other technicians; a strong focus on safety and patient care is required.

Overnight schedule Thursday through Wednesday 8pm-6:30am with holiday rotation; includes hire-on incentive up to $2,500 and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Requires Pharmacy Technician licensure and active Pharmacy Technician certification OR Pharmacy Intern licensure in the state of practice.
• Arizona requires AZ Board Wallet Card at time of hire.
• Strong customer service focus and communication skills; attention to detail and multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Identifies medications and items for reorder to maintain inventory.
• Manages users within automated dispensing technology database and troubleshoots issues.
• Interacts with patients, visitors and staff with excellent interpersonal skills and customer service.
• Restocks medications to areas outside automated dispensing technology as allowed by policy.
• Prepares non-sterile compounds and ensures documentation and USP compliance.
