Job summary

The US Oncology Network is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in Minnesota to assist with medication compounding and preparation under physician supervision. You will verify orders, maintain records, and ensure compliance with OSHA and department guidelines while supporting inventory control and billing processes.

Requirements include a minimum of 2-3 years of health care or pharmacy technician experience, knowledge of pharmaceuticals and calculations, and a relevant certification or the plan to

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of pharmacy technician or related health care experience.
• Knowledge of pharmaceuticals, pharmacy calculations, and related medical technology.
• VoTech Pharmacy Technician Program is preferred but not required.
• Certification with the first year of employment will be required if not certified at hiring.

Responsibilities

• Assists with preparation of medication orders by compounding or admixing under supervision.
• Checks orders for completeness and verifies patient information and physician authorization.
• Admixes drugs as ordered by physician in accurate and timely manner per guidelines.
• Calculates correct dosage volumes and converts between metric and apothecary equivalents.
• Maintains temperature and protocol drug logs and proper documentation.
