Job summary

US Oncology Network-wide Career Opportunities seeks an Admixture Tech Sr/Pharmacy Tech Sr to perform advanced medication preparation under supervision. Responsibilities include preparing and admixing medications, verifying orders, calculating dosages, and maintaining drug information and safety data sheets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Five years of pharmacy experience with IV skills preferred.
• Oncology background preferred or extensive IV preparation experience.
• IV certification preferred where allowed by state law.
• CPR/tech certification may be required by state guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare medication orders by compounding or admixing medications under supervision.
• Verify orders for completeness, accuracy, and insurance approval.
• Admix drugs as ordered by a physician, following guidelines.
• Calculate dosage volumes and convert units as needed.
• Maintain drug information and MSDS; support inventory controls.
• Assist in controlled substance record keeping and compliance.
• Dispose of materials per guidelines and law; maintain logs.
• Clean hoods, monitor drug expiration, and perform QA activities.
• Maintain temperature logs and documentation for protocols and drugs.
• Manage inventory including lot numbers and expiration dating.
• Provide label preparation, documentation, data entry, and pre-billing review.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of admixture area; mentor staff.
