Job summary

Carle Health seeks a licensed pharmacist to deliver comprehensive oncology pharmaceutical care within the Carle Cancer Center, collaborating with hematology/oncology, urology, ophthalmology, gynecology, and research teams. The role supports clinical trials and inpatient/outpatient services.

The successful candidate will provide direct patient care, MTM, and dosing recommendations while ensuring safety and adherence to oncology protocols.

Qualifications

Licensed Pharmacist with IDFPR certification
Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy is required
Clinical work experience is required

Responsibilities

Direct patient care to optimize prescribing, administration and monitoring within the facility
Provide MTM services and patient education per Pharmacy Act
Determine dosing based on patient age, weight and renal/hepatic function
Collaborate with hematology/oncology and inpatient pharmacy teams
Prepare investigational and standard medications for clinical trials
Attend rounds and provide pharmacy services in hematology/oncology
Support transitions of care and precept students and residents
Develop and promote oncology-related policies and safety initiatives
