Job summary

Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL, at Kellogg Cancer Center, is seeking a Patient Support Assistant – Oncology for a full-time, 40-hour week. Hours vary 6:45am–6pm, Monday through Friday, with no weekends or holidays.

You will answer phones, schedule appointments, collect co-pays, register patients, verify insurance, greet patients, and support the physician practice. HS diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant Certification preferred; one year of healthcare experience required.

Qualifications

• One year of work experience required.
• Medical office experience preferred; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration
• Provide administrative support to the physician practice
• Check in and check out patients
• Verify insurances
• Greet patients and escort them to exam room
• Document vitals, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required
