Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Support Assistant - Oncology at Kellogg Cancer Center in Evanston, IL. This full-time position (40 hours/week) features a Monday–Friday schedule, 6:45am–6pm, with no weekends or holidays and occasional travel to Glenview/Glenbrook and Highland Park as staffing needs arise.

You will answer phones, schedule appointments, collect co-pays, complete patient registrations, verify insurances and greet patients, providing front-office support.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience, required.
• Certification: Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred.
• Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration
• Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
• Check in and check out patient
• Verify insurances
• Greet patients and escort them to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required

Education

High School Diploma/GED
