Job summary

Endeavor Health's Kellogg Cancer Center in Evanston, IL is seeking a Patient Support Assistant - Oncology for a full-time role at the physician practice level. You will answer phones, schedule appointments, collect co-pays, complete patient registrations, and provide other front office support as needed.

Requires a High School Diploma/GED; Medical Assistant Certification is preferred. At least one year of medical office experience is required; phlebotomy and injections may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience, required.
• Certification: Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) preferred.
• Experience: One year of work experience required; prior medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration
• Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
• Check in and check out patient
• Verify insurances
• Greet patients and escort them to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required
