Job summary

The US Oncology Network is seeking a Patient Services Coordinator to support the Urology Department at a Houston clinic. This full-time role involves greeting patients, scheduling appointments, handling calls, collecting co-pays, and maintaining patient information with HIPAA compliance.

Levels 1–Sr are based on experience; the position requires front desk experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy clinic environment. Typical hours are M-F, 7:45a–5:00p.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Some receptionist or office experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel required.
  • Must complete required e-learning courses within 90 days of occupying position.

Responsibilities

  • Greets patients and visitors to the clinic in a prompt, courteous and professional manner.
  • Registers and schedules appointments for patients in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Answers, screens, and directs all incoming calls to appropriate personnel relaying messages between patients and clinical staff.
  • Collects co-pays and balances; provides receipt and updates demographics.
  • Schedules returning appointments and provides directions and details to patients.
  • Maintains lobby area and office supplies, ensuring confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
