Job summary

IHA is seeking a Patient Visit Specialist I - Oncology to deliver high-quality patient support at the Cancer Center. You will coordinate visit registrations, guide patients, verify insurance, and liaise with providers to ensure smooth check-in, check-out and follow-up.

This full-time day-shift role requires excellent communication, accuracy in data entry and the ability to manage multiple scheduling tasks across systems while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of medical/physician office experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform insurance verification and obtain required authorizations for services.
• Register patients accurately, collect financial and consent data during intake.
• Utilize multiple systems to schedule, manage orders, pre-register and verify insurance.
• Coordinate visit scheduling and referrals with providers and staff.
