Job summary

Springfield Clinic in Illinois is seeking an Oncology Concierge to provide comfort measures and non-medical support to oncology patients in the infusion room. You will assist with patient arrival, visit, and maintain logs, while keeping the area clean and stocked, and ensuring snacks and beverages are available.

You will follow Springfield Clinic policies, OSHA training, and HIPAA privacy rules while delivering excellent customer service and supporting the care team.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED required.
• Ability to stand for 95% of the time.
• Ability to push patients weighing <200 lbs in a wheelchair.

Responsibilities

• Exemplify excellent customer service towards patients, families, staff and visitors.
• Provide non-medical comfort measures for patients upon arrival and during visit.
• Keep a log of patient location in the infusion room.
• Clean patient area as patients leave.
• Stock linens, recover pillows and refill blanket warmer as needed.
• Make coffee and tea as needed.
• Keep snacks and refrigerator stocked.
• Comply with the Springfield Clinic incident reporting policy and procedures.
• Adhere to all OSHA and Springfield Clinic training & accomplishments as required per policy.
• Provide excellent customer service and adhere to SC Way customer service philosophy.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.
