Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA is hiring a Patient Care Technician for Medical/Surgical Oncology, full-time nights 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. The PCT provides patient care, assists with daily living activities, measures vital signs, mobility, phlebotomy, and specimen collection under RN supervision.

Requirements include HS diploma or GED, acceptable CNA/NCMA/NCPCT/Emergency Services credentials, 1 year healthcare experience preferred, and BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year healthcare experience preferred.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Record vital signs and report changes to RN.
• Assist with mobility and ambulation of patients.
• Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and EKG testing under supervision.
