Maryland Oncology Hematology, affiliated with GW Medical Faculty Associates in Washington, DC, is seeking an experienced nursing leader to oversee clinical nursing operations and staffing within budget. Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN or MSN preferred.
  • RN license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Minimum five years actively practicing as a registered nurse, including at least three years oncology experience.
  • One-year leadership experience preferred.
  • Oncology certification preferred.
  • Chemotherapy Immunotherapy provider card preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the clinical operations for all nursing clinical support activities.
  • Establishes and maintains all nursing personnel files. Ensures all licensing and certification criteria are met.
  • Assists with the review and revision of clinical policies and procedures.
  • Maintains staffing/FTEs for assigned clinics within budget parameters.
  • Participates in interviewing and recruiting nursing personnel; performs tasks as needed.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of labor laws and coordinates staffing including vacations and overtime.
  • Monitors patient satisfaction and quality assurance measures.
  • Directs correct use of charge codes and educates staff on reimbursement guidelines.
  • Develops new services and activities for patients, families and staff.
