Job summary

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston is seeking a Professional Development Specialist (Level I + II) to join the Center for Clinical and Professional Development. This role supports the professional development of nursing staff, implements and evaluates education programs, and mentors staff while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The position requires RN licensure in MA and/or NH, a BSN for PDS I or MSN for PDS II, and at least three years of clinical nursing experience with oncology.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required for PDS I.
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required for PDS II.
Current RN license in Massachusetts and/or New Hampshire.
3 years of clinical nursing experience; oncology experience preferred.
Professional certification within 3 years of hire.

Responsibilities

Implements and evaluates educational programs that support nursing staff development.
Mentors and coaches clinical staff to improve practice and outcomes.
Collaborates with CPS and other disciplines to meet education needs.
Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
Leads orientation and continuing education activities for NPCS.
Coordinates nursing student placements and maintains communication with CCPD.
