MU Health Care in Missouri is seeking a Nurse Tech to support patient care on nights with every-other-weekend rotation, on-site at University Hospital in Columbia. You will assist with patient transfers, meals, and basic clinical tasks while ensuring a calm, organized environment and training new staff.

The role emphasizes direct patient interaction, accurate documentation, and responsiveness to patient needs in a 24/7 hospital setting, with benefits and ongoing learning opportunities within MU

Qualifications

• Completion of Fundamentals of Nursing course within 90 days.
• CNA certification or exam registration.
• PCT certification or equivalent patient-care credential.
• Direct patient care experience in the last 3 years.
• UAP training program completed within 180 days as a condition of employment.
• Nursing program completed or licensure in progress in the US.

Responsibilities

• Assist with transferring patients and delivering meals.
• Manage workload and maintain a clean, orderly unit environment.
• Educate and train new staff on Care Team Associate responsibilities.
• Perform routine duties and respond to urgent situations as needed.
• Take vitals, simple checks, sample collection, and document data accurately.
• Enter information into bed-management system promptly.
• Respond to patient call lights with courteous, responsive service.
