Qualifications

• Active Maine RN license or ability to obtain in a timely fashion.
• Oncology RN experience and/or certification preferred.
• Strong critical thinking, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to operate in a high-stress healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on assessment to optimize outcomes.
• Assesses patient and family needs with sensitivity to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate services; may precept students or new hires.
• Executes plan of care for oncology patients, including medication administration and symptom management, and communicates patient status.
