MaineGeneral Medical Center is seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse Navigator (RN) to join the Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care in Augusta, ME. The RN will provide comprehensive cancer care, administer treatments, manage symptoms, and support patients and families throughout their cancer journey.

Qualifikationen

• Active Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain in a timely fashion.
• Oncology RN certification preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision under stress.

Aufgaben

• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans for oncology patients.
• Assess needs of patients and families with appropriate age/culture considerations.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient services.
• Delegate to ancillary personnel as needed.
• Precept nursing students or new hires when appropriate.
• Administer medications and manage oncology symptoms per plan of care.
• Communicate patient status to the care team as needed.
