Job summary

West Cancer Center is seeking an Oncology Nurse Navigator to coordinate and educate patients throughout the cancer care continuum. The RN will assess needs, guide patients through treatments, and collaborate with the care team to remove barriers to access.

Requirements include an accredited nursing program graduate and at least 1 year of nursing experience; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is offered along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (required).
• At least 1 year of nursing experience (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred).
• Outpatient nursing and scheduling experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, coordinate care to meet patients’ physical, emotional, and social needs.
• Advocate for timely, high-quality care by guiding patients through the healthcare system.
• Coordinate appointments, referrals, and services to ensure continuous care.
• Provide education on treatment plans, symptom management, and health maintenance.
• Maintain accurate documentation and tracking of patient progress and clinical outcomes.
• Reduce barriers to care through insurance coordination and community resource navigation.
