Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking an experienced Specialty Medical Biller to ensure accurate billing, reimbursement, and claims management for advanced oncology treatments. You’ll support procedures like Bone Marrow Transplant, CAR-T therapy, and Gamma Knife, working with clinical, coding, and revenue cycle teams to help patients access care.

This full-time role requires a strong understanding of medical billing, payer requirements, and denials management.

Qualifications

• Required Education and Experience: Associate’s degree in Health Information Management, Business, or related field and 3 years of oncology medical billing experience; or High School diploma plus 5 years of oncology billing experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit inpatient and outpatient medical claims, including high-cost oncology services.
• Review documentation, coding, and charges to support accurate reimbursement.
• Verify authorizations and ensure payer requirements are met before claims are submitted.
• Investigate, resolve, and appeal denied claims to reduce denials.
• Monitor payer policies and assist with audits and compliance initiatives.
• Collaborate with clinical, coding, and operational teams to optimize billing outcomes and patient experience.

Education

Associate’s degree in Health Information Management, Business, or related field

High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma with 5 years of oncology medical billing experience
