Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a HIM, business, or related field with oncology billing experience.
• Associate's degree with 5+ years of oncology/reimbursement billing experience.
• High School diploma with 7+ years of oncology/revenue cycle billing experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily billing operations for complex oncology and specialty services.
• Monitor queues, claim quality, and team productivity to ensure timely submissions.
• Support staff performance, workflow, and operational efficiency.
• Review high-dollar accounts to identify risks and resolution strategies.
• Lead escalations and appeals for high-value denied or underpaid claims.
• Partner with coding, clinical, and patient access teams to improve processes.
• Help prevent denials by aligning practices with payer rules.
• Analyze trends and prepare reports on productivity and denial performance.
• Support internal audits, compliance initiatives, and revenue integrity.
• Assist patients and payers with billing inquiries and promote a positive experience.
• Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to staff.
