Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle, WA, is seeking a Medical Assistant Supervisor to coordinate and supervise Medical Assistant and Nursing staff in the General Oncology Unit. This full-time, 1.0 FTE role supports day-to-day clinic operations to ensure safe, quality patient care at the South Lake Union location.

You will lead staffing, training, scheduling, and evaluations, collaborate with providers, manage patient flow, and participate in process improvements and budgeting.

Qualifikationen

• Education that enables obtainment of Medical Assistant Certification in the State of Washington.
• Certified Medical Assistant in Washington with knowledge of conduct and standards.
• Surgical Technologist Registration in Washington within 30 days of hire as applicable.
• Current BLS AHA Health Provider Card with renewal every two years.
• Minimum 2 years as a Medical Assistant, preferably in an ambulatory oncology clinic.
• 1 year in lead or similar role.

Aufgaben

• Hires, orients, supervises, trains staff and conducts competency assessments.
• Evaluates performance and recommends promotions or disciplinary actions.
• Manages scheduling, time-off requests, and timecards.
• Develops and maintains communications with providers and Nursing staff regarding room assignments and patient flow.
• Acts as a role model for Medical/Nursing Assistants and participates in planning and budgeting.
• Intervenes in patient crises and conducts de-escalation and service recovery.
• Designs, conducts, analyzes, and takes appropriate action on internal quality audits.
• Holds staff accountable for performance and sets standards.
• May fill in to provide routine care or cover for other Supervisors as needed.
