Job summary

Oncology Consultants - Southeast is seeking a diligent Medical Assistant to support physicians in office-based procedures and lab testing. You will perform phlebotomy, quality control, and specimen handling, ensuring accurate documentation.

The role requires BLS, a high school diploma or GED, and venipuncture experience. Travel to other clinics may be necessary; standard hours are Monday–Friday, with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• BLS required.
• Valid Driver's License and vehicle for travel to other clinic locations as needed.
• One-year experience as a medical assistant in clinic or physician's office with venipuncture capability.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with medical procedures and bone marrow, fine needle aspirate, paracentesis, and pelvic exams.
• Perform phlebotomy and laboratory testing, quality control, and instrument troubleshooting.
• Prepare blood/bone marrow slides and handle specimens per procedures.
• Document results in EMR and charge for services; maintain logs and equipment records.
