Job summary

Oncology Consultants - Southeast is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Assistant to support physicians in office procedures, perform phlebotomy and lab testing, and ensure QA and instrument maintenance. Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED mandatory.
• Certifications: BLS required; valid driver’s license.
• Experience: 1 year as a medical assistant with venipuncture capability.
• Proficiency with EMR and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy, blood work and QA procedures.
• Assist physicians with procedures and prepare specimens.
• Maintain logs, QA paperwork and equipment records.
• Document results in EMR and communicate with staff.
• Coordinate outside testing and referrals as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety, HIPAA, and regulations.
