Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in-office procedures, perform phlebotomy, and handle laboratory tasks with strict quality control.

The role requires High School or GED, BLS within 30 days, and CMA/CCMA/CMAA/NCMA/RMA/NRCMA/MAC certifications. Travel to additional clinics (<25%) is expected to support patient care across locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; BLS certification within 30 days of employment.
• Valid Medical Assistant Certification from approved boards (CMA/CCMA/CMAA/NCHA NCMA/AMT NRCMA) required.
• Ability to venipuncture and perform routine phlebotomy in clinic settings.
• Must be able to travel to multiple clinic locations (<25%).

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with medical procedures in the office.
• Perform phlebotomy and laboratory testing.
• Maintain quality control, troubleshoot instruments, and perform basic maintenance.
• Strong communication with patients and care teams; ensure accurate documentation.
