The Los Angeles Cancer Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Laguna Hills clinic, supporting providers and delivering safe, high‑quality patient care throughout the treatment journey.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, documenting vital signs, preparing charts, assisting with procedures, phlebotomy, injections, specimen processing, and maintaining clinical areas. Ideal candidates are dependable, detail‑oriented, compassionate, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with certification.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong phlebotomy skills.
• Knowledge of medical laboratory procedures.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn electronic medical record systems.
• Previous Oncology/Hematology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and accurately document vital signs, medications, allergies, pain, tobacco, and depression screens.
• Prepare exam rooms and patient charts for provider visits.
• Assist providers with patient care and clinical procedures.
• Perform blood draws, injections, and other clinical tasks within scope of practice.
• Assist with bone marrow biopsy procedures and manage MAR documentation.
• Maintain clinical areas, equipment, and inventory, and support overall workflow.
