Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program and current certification.
• CPR certification required.
• Strong phlebotomy skills and solid knowledge of medical lab procedures.
• Comfortable with basic computer tasks.
• Clear communicator, verbal and written, thriving in a fast-paced setting.
• Sharp assessment, critical thinking, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Steady under pressure and able to handle stressful situations with composure.
• Dependable team player who can work independently and locate resources.
• Oncology/hematology experience is a plus.
• Willing and able to travel to satellite clinics as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collect and document patient screening data, take vital signs, and keep medical records current each day.
• Prep charts, process and ship labs, and perform injections, blood draws, and assist with bone marrow biopsies.
• Keep exam rooms and lab areas clean, stocked, and ready — including calibrating equipment and running regular quality controls.
• Track medication and supply inventory, place orders, and flag needs to team leads before things run low.
• Double-check medications for accuracy, document what's administered, and coordinate with nurses on patient readiness.
• Run equipment checks on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly schedule — machine calibration, filter cleaning, and quality checks included.
• Scan documents, update spreadsheets, and keep all documentation accurate and current.
• Take part in ongoing training, follow safety protocols, and travel to satellite clinics when needed.
