Cancer Care Northwest is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support clinicians and patients in a busy oncology clinic. You will assist with exams, prepare treatment rooms, collect patient data, and help coordinate tests and follow-ups.

The role emphasizes patient flow, safety, and care coordination within a team-based environment. In this position you will perform injections, phlebotomy as needed, and maintain records per protocol.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program; CPR certification.
• Idaho: High School Diploma or GED; graduate of nationally accredited Medical Assisting program; CPR certification.
• Five years’ MA/NA experience in hospital or clinic setting; phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Escort patients to/from exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Record patient data prior to visits (vital signs, allergies, meds).
• Obtain patient records and ensure consent prior to procedures.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms; assist with procedures.
• Assist with patient education materials and activities.
• Obtain specimens per protocol and administer injections as trained.
• Document care Elements; communicate with attending provider.
• Maintain PPE and disinfection protocols; ensure instrument processing.
• Schedule tests, procedures, and follow-ups; manage rescheduling/no-shows.
