Cancer Care Northwest in Spokane is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support providers and clinicians, assist with patient flow, and help with public health screening activities. You will perform clerical tasks, take vital signs, prepare exam rooms, obtain records, and assist with education, injections, and specimen collection while upholding CCNW compliance and patient confidentiality.

Qualificações

• Washington requires a high school diploma or GED and certified medical assistant credentials or equivalent.
• Idaho requires high school diploma or GED and CPR certification.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• Five years of medical assistant or nursing assistant experience in a hospital or clinic setting.

Responsabilidades

• Escort patients to exam rooms and support patient flow.
• Record patient data including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and med changes.
• Obtain records and verify consent prior to treatment or procedures.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies as needed.
• Assist providers with exams and procedures as requested.
• Assist with patient education activities and distribute education literature.
• Obtain blood specimens from peripheral sites per OSHA guidelines.
• Document care and communicate information to attending provider.
• Maintain PPE and hygiene standards; disinfect exam rooms.
• Screen patients by intake information and coordinate care with providers.
• Schedule tests, procedures, and follow-ups and manage reschedules/no-shows.
• Maintain new and prior patient records and imaging results.
• Perform other clerical duties as assigned.

Conhecimentos

Phlebotomy experience

Medical/nursing assistant experience

Formação académica

High School Diploma or GED (WA)

Graduate from accredited Medical Assisting program

DOH MA Certified or DOH MA Registered or Nursing Assistant Certified

High School Diploma or GED (ID)

CPR certification
